Sherwin Williams Color of the Year

In May 2023, we excitedly introduced Painted Mist into our lineup of premium painted finishes. A light blue paint with gray undertones, Painted Mist is an earthy hue that has redefined the word “neutral”. Later this year, Sherwin Williams unveiled their 2024 color of the year: Upward, “A breezy, blissful blue.”

We could not agree more with Sherwin Williams color of the year 2024, and we love how strikingly similar it is to our calming, Painted Mist. Upward by Sherwin Williams is described as “Relaxed and Carefree”. Light blue hues are reminiscent of sunny days, positive energy, and enjoyment, so it’s no wonder it is the Color of the Year and one of several trending paint colors.

As nearly every major paint company has released their color of the year, we are seeing 2024 color trends that are serene, subtle, and calm. Paint color trends include light and dark shades of blues, neutral shades of green, and tones of grey.
